Conference 2013 When Danger Strikes, are you ready a huge success!!!

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing in cooperation with PACT4 is offering a Three day conference on community and safety.

Current Health Threats: Addressing the Dangers Facing Our Families and Communities


The 2013 conference was a three-day event on April 30th, May 7th and 14th. It was attended by a variety of participants from varied backgrounds and career paths. Topics included The Role of Healthcare in Emergency Shelters, the Root Causes of Youth/Gang Violence, and the Abuse of Older Adults. The keynote address was presented by Jennifer Goodrich. Her presentation was titled Interprofessional Collaboration to address Community Problems as a mechanism to serve and protect vulnerable populations. The conference was a huge success and raised awareness within the community of safety, interprofessional collaboration, and concerns with serving geriatric populations.
